In retrospect, I probably could have put him in the larger diapers a while ago and had been unwittingly squeezing the guy into what I now recognize as extra-small diapers on a not-so extra small boy. Sorry kiddo...
But the biggest change has been his move out of our bedroom and into his nursery. That's right. We moved Wyatt's porta crib, changing table and rocking chair out of our bedroom and into his own.
It's nice to have so much more space in our room again but I think Ross and I were both a little sad about our "little boy" becoming a "big boy". So much so that we still let him sleep with us last night. I know.. I know... this is a habit I'm going to have to nip in the bud but all three of us sleep better when we are together (especially Ross). We may change our minds about this when Wyatt gets older... like 16.
He is still taking all of his naps in his crib so hopefully the transition won't be too difficult for us- I mean him.
Yesterday was also a "moving" day for the Christmas tree and decorations- moving out that is. After packing up all of the holiday stuff we decided to move Wyatt's porta crib into the living room to use as a play pen. He is just getting too mobile to be leaving him on the couch alone anymore when I try to sneak in a quick potty break (although I did recently read that "your child falling off the couch is NOT a federal offense" and is basically a right of passage for new moms).
Yesterday Wyatt also got a bath from dad, marking Ross' first time flying solo in the bath giving department. The boys had a lot of fun with this and the mission was accomplished- a clean baby boy- even if Wyatt did spit up all over himself within minutes of leaving the tub. This also gave me enough time to bake Ross his favorite dessert- a key lime pie. I had been promising to make the pie for months but it was well worth the wait.
