Sorry I've been so bad with keeping the blog updated but the three of us have been under the weather. I think we all had the same bug but it manifested itself as a fever for Wyatt, a cough for me and a runny nose for Ross. Wyatt and I are completlty over it and Ross is on the mend. We didn't even celebrate Wyatt's birthday because we just weren't feeling up for it but since we already celebrated in Paradise in late July we figure it's okay.
Wyatt had his one year check-up on Monday and is a normal, healthy little boy. He weighed in at 17 pounds (>3rd percentile) and 29 inches (25th percentile). He was also a trooper during his three shots and didn't cry for long after the initial screams of terror.

The weather here has been crazy, first with temperatures in the 90s, then thunderstorms and pouring rain for the last few days. During the heatwave Ross combed the local stores trying to find a kiddie pool and Wyaty spent the next few days splashing around in it in our backyard to keep cool.

Wyatt has pretty much mastered walking (as long as the surface is totally flat) and has impressed us by walking from one end of the house to the other without stopping. This has led to more than a few impromptu Hide-and-Seek games where Ross and I are asking each other where Wyatt is. He can usually be found playing with his firetruck nightlight in the nursery, pushing the air purifier on/off button as fast as he can in the guest room, or stealing daddy's chapstick off the nightstand in our room.
