Happy Talk

Our little Sammy has been talking up a storm and learning words daily now. Some new additions to his vocabulary are "Wyatt, chicken, baba (grandpa), naughty (hmm, I wonder how he learned that), thank (thanks - a step up from his usual hmm-hmm to sound like thank you), and camera.

Sam is beginning to echo more sayings he hears around the house like "no, no, no, naughty" (what he hears pretty much daily as he purposely throws his food all over the floor), "darn it" (I have GOT to stop saying that), and yesterday he said "sing mom" a phrase Wyatt is always saying to me when he hears a song he likes.

He also had a few firsts this week, including doing an art project (he used self-adhesive pre-cut foam pieces to decorate a turkey with a head, eye and feathers). He loved this craft because the real fun for him is pulling all of the foam pieces off and then putting back on again. He also liked the cracker snack as you can see.





He also did a second art project where I was able to get a copy of his handprint for the first time as we turned the boys' handprints into turkeys, complete with feathers.

Black olives are still Sam's most favorite food, although he discovered Triscuits dips in cream cheese this week and they are running a close second.

Sam has also figured out how to blow bubbles in the bathtub instead of choking over and over and over again. He is a very persistent child and such a joy to us.
