It's hard to believe you are turning two today. You have turned into a such a little boy now and are no longer my little baby. You are full of joy and wonderment and your laughter is always echoing throughout the house. There is an air of mischievousness about you but you have a kind heart and a million dollar smile.
You love to jump on the beds, splash in the tub and sing, which involves you shouting "do-do-do-do" or just the word "singing" over and over again to the music.
You love to play with Play-Doh and paint with water colors, although you find painting your hands much more fun than painting on paper.
You like to play "chase" up and down the hallway with Wyatt on the fire truck and aid car ride-along toys and you two like to pretend you are firefighters off rescuing people. Sometimes you even get lanterns and flashlights out and pretend to make rescues in the dark.
You like to flick the light switch on and off and yell "party" and can't get enough wrestling with your dad and brother
You are talking up a storm and frequently speak in 3-4 word sentences and you are always quick to say "thank you" and "sorry".
Your favorite foods are black olives, breakfast sausage, chocolate milk, toast, and you love any sort of condiment such as peanut butter, ranch dressing, cream cheese, ketchup and sour cream.
You love brushing your teeth before bed and yell "teeth" and run down the hallway to the bathroom with your arms waving above your head every night I announce that it is time for bed. You have 16 teeth now, 8 on top and 8 on bottom.
You have brought so much love, laughter and joy into our home and we feel so blessed to have you for a son. You are smart and compassionate and make your dad and I so proud everyday. Wyatt talks about how you are his "best friend" and we hope it will always be that way.
You are loved more than you will ever know. Happy Birthday Samuel!
Love,
Mom
