My parents just left after a two week visit and they were such a great help as we adjust to having two munchkins. My mom was a cooking and cleaning maniac and I was able to take a nap every day they were here. I am really going to miss them (and those naps!) now that they are headed back to California.

Wyatt was affectionate as always with his Nana and Grandpa and loved all of the extra attention. He especially took to my dad and liked to help get his crutches, pull out his chair (while patting the seat) and close the bathroom door behind him in the mornings. He was so thoughtful to his Grandpa's needs and just waited to help in any way he could. What a doll! Nana also spoiled Wyatt rotten, and loved serving him his new favorite food- ice cream.

Sam was good too in his own way, only pooping on Grandpa once during the entire two weeks. Not bad. Sam's face is really beginning to change as he puts on weight and he is such a low-key baby. He's still pretty noisy at nighttime but we are hoping that will change in the next few weeks (months?!!) as his digestive system continues to develop and he is more comfortable laying down after eating.

Right now, Wyatt is down for a nap and Sam is just hanging out on the couch looking out the window as happy as can be. Wyatt would have NEVER done that as he liked being held 24-7. While I like to cuddle my boys as much as the next mother, I do appreciate my hands being free sometimes and it gives me time to do things like finally update this blog.

Wyatt (seen here wearing Dad's work gloves and Grandpa's sneakers) is also growing like a weed and during his 18-month check-up he weighed in at 22 pounds and was finally out of the lowest percentile. Now he measures between the 5th and 10th percentile in weight and you can really tell that he is bulking up. He also sprouted four more bottom teeth (for a total of eight teeth) and we think his is getting two more on the top. That has resulted in some cranky afternoons but you can't blame him for not feeling well, especially when those first molars broke through- OUCH!

We did get a bunch of snow here during the first half of my parent's visit (about 8 inches) so we pulled Wyatt's snowsuit back out, duct taped his gloves on and let him romp around the yard while Ross shoveled the walkways. Wyatt ate the snow and tried his best to make a snow angel, which was basically just rocking back and forth on his back. Come to think of it, he may have just fallen over and was trying to get up. Oh well, cute nonetheless.
