Kelsey Creek Farm

Wyatt's preschool took a field trip to Kelsey Creek Farm in Bellevue and got to meet a lot of new animal friends up close, including a horse, goat, pigs, chickens, rabbits and sheep.

At the end of the tour, the kids worked on making a sheep craft, which included brushing out sheep wool and then wrapping it around a small pine cone and  adding pipe cleaner legs. Both boys enjoyed brushing out the wool.

Spring Break

With Wyatt in preschool this year we actually had a Spring Break so we flew down to California to spend some quality time with Nana, Granddad, Christi, Alex and GG. The boys loved the airplane ride and were so well behaved that I'm temped to make that trip a little more often.

We also celebrated Easter and the boys got to hunt for Easter eggs with cousin Alex. They kids had so much fun finding the eggs that we hid them all over again the next day. Uncle Nick even came up for the day to visit and we all had a wonderful time.

The highlight of the trip for me, however, was when Grandpa and Wyatt got to play catch together. It brought back so many wonderful memories of playing catch with my dad and I was so happy they could  have that moment together.

 

First Little League Game

 
Wyatt had his first Little League t-ball game yesterday and it was a magical night. Ross was on shift and decided to take vacation and raced to the ballpark so he wouldn't miss it. Wyatt was THRILLED to see his daddy there. When Wyatt took the field for the first time (at shortstop) he turned to me and gave me the "I love you" hand signal in sign language (heart melting!!!!).

His team, the Blue Lions, played two innings of t-ball and he did great. There wasn't a single out made by either team but that's why they have a rule that the kids can only advance one base per hitter. Wyatt was the last batter to hit so he got to hit two bases clearing home runs.

He is so proud of his baseball uniform and he took his baseball cap to school today. It was raining outside so he put it in his backpack and said he would put in on once he was in the classroom so it wouldn't get wet. Sammy was also excited about baseball and asked Wyatt if he could wear his #1 baseball jersey this morning. Wyatt being the sweet big brother he is said "yes" and Sam has been wearing it ever since. I love my boys!!!
